New Americans

Our clients reflect the strength of this country: our diversity. The Northeast has long welcomed successive waves of immigrants and refugees – from the Irish and Italian immigrants of the late 1800s, to Vietnamese migrants in the 1970s and 1980s, to Iraqi, Somali, and Bhutanese refugees today. Every year we serve thousands of refugees from around the world.

Some of our clients have fled conflict and persecution, trafficking and torture, and are rebuilding their lives in New England. Others are immigrant workers and students who want to improve their English language skills. Still others are families who struggle to provide for their most basic needs.

All of them demonstrate courage, perseverance, and a strong desire to succeed. They are laborers, scholars, and entrepreneurs. They share our goal of long-term economic self-sufficiency and progress. It is the American dream that drives us all.
